Postscript

The fifty stories and drawings herein cover but a small portion of a very great subject. Though they follow a chronological sequence, they aim at nothing more than a suggestion of Canada's historic wealth, and many phases of the life of the past are  left untouched. I hope to be able to fill some of these gaps by another series. For this, much material has been collected, and a number of the drawings have been made. I have been encouraged to explore still further this fascinating and inexhaustible  field by the favourable reception given to my past efforts, and by the generous co-operation of many fellow-workers in Canadian history.
