- Toronto Star article, Jan. 15, 1944, by Augustus Bridle:
“C.W. Jefferys’ art-greeting to 1944 is a series of six magnificent Indian-chief heads on a calendar. Only a painter with the conviction that true history is not chronology, but the vital record of humanity as a living interpreter of earth could have united the twin arts of detail drawing and revelational color in six such Indian portrait-pictures.”

I have one of these calendars. Found it in my Parents/Grandparents house in New Zealand when I went back to help clean it out. It's in really good condition. Thought it was too good to recycle. Fantastic pictures.
