Scope and content:
Series contains records relating to the Jefferys family history. The files were compiled by Stacey, but, as a historian, Jefferys also was interested in genealogy. The Jefferys name can be traced as far back as the 9th century in England, with direct relations to C.W. Jefferys being found back to the 17th century.
The files in this series are arranged alphabetically by name and contain a wide variety of types of records including family trees, genealogical research reports, newspaper, magazine, and journal articles, copies of birth and marriage certificates, photographs, copies of paintings, drawings, and maps, correspondence and Stacey’s research notes.
