Scope and content:
Series contains records and Stacey’s research notes relating to significant events in Jefferys’ life. Documents detail Jefferys’ travels, commissions won, his work as a journalist and as an artist, his education and work as a teacher, honours bestowed upon Jefferys when alive as well as posthumously, and documents relating to other key life events, including birthdays and marriages. Included in this series along with Stacey’s notes are a birth certificate, a first communion certificate, and marriage certificates, newspaper articles, brochures and pamphlets, photographs, correspondence, and objects such as press passes. Files are arranged chronologically by event.
