Soapy Smith never went into Canada ("Yukon"). The photo the drawing is based on was taken in Soapy's saloon, Jeff Smith's Parlor, in Skagway, Alaska. The last American town before crossing the border into Canada, via the White Pass trail. ~Jeff Smith
p.s. Soapy was my great-grandfather.
